Introduction

Moomken’s Climate Change Programs! Our initiatives are at the forefront of addressing the urgent challenges posed by climate change in Libya. We work diligently to enhance community and institutional resilience through sustainable environmental practices and climate adaptation strategies. We are proud to announce that Moomken has joined the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and recently became a part of the Nairobi Work Programme (NWP), the UNFCCC’s knowledge-to-action hub for climate resilience and adaptation. Additionally, we have established Moomken’s Climate Change Unit to spearhead our climate initiatives and ensure effective implementation of our strategies. Join us in our mission to create a sustainable and resilient future for all.

Overview

At Moomken, we recognize the critical impact of climate change on our environment and communities. Our Climate Change Programs aim to mitigate these impacts through a multifaceted approach that includes climate risk assessments, the development of adaptation strategies, and capacity building for local institutions and communities. We focus on key areas such as water management, agriculture, renewable energy, and resilience to extreme weather events.
