Role of Moomken Organization:
Moomken organized and implemented a two-day workshop to enhance the role of environmental civil society organizations in Libya. This included logistical coordination, content preparation, and session facilitation in partnership with legal and environmental experts. Moomken’s media team also produced three animated awareness videos on climate change inspired by the workshop outcomes.
Objective:
To enhance the capacities of environmental organizations and strengthen their cooperation with government institutions in climate governance. The workshop brought together 21 participants, including youth-led organizations, representatives from the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, and expert specialists to discuss environmental laws, civil society regulations, and collaborative strategies to address climate challenges. The workshop resulted in the establishment of the foundation for a national environmental organizations alliance and the production of animated educational content to support ongoing environmental education efforts in Libya.
