About the Project
Moomken Organization launched the “Libya History Magazine” as a cultural initiative aimed at raising awareness of Libya’s historical and cultural heritage. The magazine is issued quarterly and features in-depth content developed with the contribution of a select group of experts in history and archaeology.
It includes analytical articles, reviews of books, exhibitions, and cultural events, as well as interviews with historians, academics, and specialists in Libyan heritage.
The magazine is distributed to universities, libraries, and research centers across various Libyan cities, with the goal of bringing knowledge to a wide audience of interested and specialized readers.
About the Project
As part of a research partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Moomken Organization launched a project aimed at understanding manifestations of violence against children in Libya, with a focus on harmful practices such as early marriage and social customs that negatively affect children especially among vulnerable groups like migrants, internally displaced persons, and children with disabilities.
The project was based on a qualitative research methodology combining in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to develop an evidence-based Social and Behavioural Change (SBC) strategy that seeks to challenge and transform harmful entrenched practices.
