Objective:
To strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations in Libya by raising participants’ awareness and enabling them to engage effectively within their institutions, contributing to a more cohesive and impactful civic environment across the country.
Main Activities:
- Two intensive training courses, including in-person and online sessions.
- Design of a Training of Trainers (TOT) program aimed at enabling individuals within organizations to transfer knowledge and expertise to their teams.
- Targeted participants from various Libyan cities: Tripoli, Sabha, Tawergha, Qatrun, Derna, Benghazi, Bani Walid, Jufra, Sabratha, Ghadames, Gharyan, Misrata, Wadi Al-Bawanis, and Taraghin.
Achieved Results:
- Trained 33 participants (21 males, 12 females), ensuring a balanced gender representation, despite the original target being 50 participants.
- Tangible capacity building for participants, which enhanced the effectiveness of their organizations.
- Contributed to improving the institutional environment within participating civil society organizations and supported them in performing their civic roles more effectively.
