Overview

During this year, Moomken Organization supported the establishment and activation of two administrative communication committees between municipalities:

  • The West Coast Municipalities Committee (including Al-Jumail, Al-Jadida, Al-Ajaylat, Riqdalin, Zuwara, Zaltan)
  • The Nalut and Batin Al-Jabal Committee (including representatives from municipal councils, civil society activists, and local actors from each municipality)

These committees serve as effective cooperation mechanisms between neighboring municipalities to address shared regional issues through constructive dialogue and inclusive participation. They played a vital role in promoting regional stability and enhancing community peace.

Main Activities:

  • Organized inter-municipal dialogue sessions to foster mutual understanding.
  • Delivered specialized training to committee members in administrative and technical skills.
  • Developed and drafted project proposals and technical periodic reports.
  • Enhanced data documentation processes and information sharing to support joint collaboration efforts.

Objective:

To strengthen the ability of municipal committees to collaboratively solve problems, support regional stability, and promote community peace through dialogue and information exchange among municipalities.

Key Results:

  • Established effective communication platforms among the involved municipalities.
  • Developed clear and shared operational mechanisms among stakeholders.
  • Drafted and signed a communication agreement document by the municipal councils to affirm commitment.
  • Built member capacities in: advocacy, public relations, peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and scenario planning.
  • Enhanced member skills in: proposal writing, technical and periodic reporting, and data entry and documentation.
