Objective:

A paid collaborative initiative between Moomken Organization, the National Council for Economic and Social Development, and Alrefak University, aiming to link fresh graduates with practical training opportunities that bridge academic knowledge with the needs of employers in fields such as languages, IT, economics, political science, management, media, and engineering. The program lasted three months and included theoretical lessons and practical experience in various companies and institutions, consisting of 23 training days and two months of on-the-job training.

Moomken’s participation in the program reflects its commitment to supporting young professionals and providing them with opportunities for growth. By offering paid training, the program ensures that participants can focus on learning without financial concern. The program’s benefits extend beyond individuals, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce and enhancing diversity and inclusion.

Moomken worked closely with IOM as a funding partner and the NESDB to support in connecting the interns with companies.

Selection Criteria:

25 trainees were selected out of 85 applicants. The project targeted recent graduates between 2020 and 2023 from the University of Tripoli in fields such as languages, information technology, economics, political science, management, media, and engineering.

Timeline and Training Schedule:

The training program lasted three months. The first month was dedicated to theoretical training, while the following two months focused on practical training. During the practical phase, all trainees were distributed across various companies to gain hands-on experience and apply their newly acquired knowledge.

After completing the 23-day training courses, which involved 25 trainees, the participants were employed in various sectors including information technology, financial services, and business development.

Conclusion

The Jusoor Project aimed to bridge the gap between academic education and labor market needs by linking recent graduates with practical training opportunities that embody theoretical knowledge and meet employers’ expectations. This contributes to strengthening their professional readiness, facilitating their integration into the labor market, building effective partnerships between educational institutions and employers, and highlighting the importance of this program in promoting personal and professional growth and making a positive impact on society.
