Moomken Organization Implemented 3 Dialogue Sessions So Far

1. Possible Scenarios After the Postponement of The Elections-Tripoli:

The first session was on 6/3/2022 at Tripoli, hosted by Mr. Tarek Ayyad and Ms. Rawya Al-Journi, with the participants representing local organizations and civil activists. The session started with a guest speaker Mahfoud Altwati who discussed the next steps for the success of the democratic process, the importance of the constitutional base, and possible scenarios for the referendum The constitution after postponing the elections, as well as the current role of the commission, and the need to define the role of the actors in the state during the current stage, in order to contribute to stability.

2. Women’s Political Participation and Prevention of Electoral Violence:

The second session, which was also held at Tripoli on 3/24/2022, is entitled (Women’s Political Participation and Prevention of Electoral Violence), with female participants representing local organizations and civil activists. The session discussed women’s political participation during the previous years and the reality of the effectiveness of their political presence. The participants also discussed laws and agreements related to women’s political participation and the roles of the government, media, the local community, and civil society in promoting women’s political participation.


The participants also shared their views on the mechanisms of confronting electoral violence against women, and the current levels of confrontation, before formulating the final recommendations of the session on how to empower women in the future to be active in decision-making.

3. Possible Scenarios After the Postponement of The Elections-Benghazi:

The third session was held on 3/26/2022 at Benghazi, where the session discussed the next steps and possible scenarios after the postponement of the elections, and how democracy can be implemented and achieved in Libya? 

The dialogue session was presented by Mr. Hamdouni Hassan and Mrs. Khawla Karkara, with participants representing local organizations and civil activists, the audience discussed the next steps for the success of the democratic process, the importance of the constitutional base, and possible scenarios for the referendum The constitution after postponing the elections, as well as the current role of the High National Election Commission.
